Secret Sounds

Muses Trio launched their 2017 season on International Women’s Day at Old Government House in Brisbane, celebrating hidden music by women trailblazers who dared to write music in a man’s world, creating an irresistible and eloquent listening experience for music lovers.

In this program, you will experience an intimate chamber music performance of music by women who shock, awe and delight, and deserve to have their voices heard. Hear music from the past by Fanny Mendelssohn, Lili Boulanger and Amy Beach contrasted with music by Australian living composers Sally Greenaway, Leonie Cohen and a world premiere by Brisbane-based Isabella Gerometta.
