Muses Ascending portrait

Muses Trio and Friends expand for an exclusive Fringe Brisbane show of enlivening music by women composers, featuring fantastic guest performers from Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Q. The program will showcase a dreamy Dulcie Holland duo from the past, a lyrical world-premiere trio (Anne Cawrse, AUS), a fresh Australian premiere quartet (Caroline Shaw, US), and ascend still higher with a show-stopping piano quintet by Elena Kats-Chernin (AUS). Music to inspire and energise in the evocative Plant Empire event space, with coffee, wine and treats for sale. Stay after the shows, mingle with the artists and enjoy the space, or settle in for the night and enjoy the second set of heady pop and jazz with Maleny teen sensation Pearl and the Doodads (Sat Nov 5, 9pm) or Nat Bartsch (Sun 6 Nov, 6pm) and   Brisbane’s premiere jazz trio Trichotomy (Sun 6 Nov, 7:30pm).

Doors and the wine bar open 30 min prior to show time. You are welcome to arrive earlier and browse through Plant Empire’s beautiful showrooms. Free parking on site at Station Road Creative Precinct.
